Estimated reading time: 6 minutes

We are coming to the end of this first part of the Saga.Maternity & Entrepreneurshipwith this episode on thethird trimester of pregnancy🤰🏽. The next will focus on the fourth trimester which therefore includes the first 3 months with a baby. For the moment, these will therefore be the 4 episodes planned for this saga. I would continue this series thereafter, but more spontaneously and not on a monthly basis.

Aftera second trimesterat the top of my form, let us now enter this third trimester and above all, let's seethe impact it has had on my entrepreneurial activity. Happy reading and happy listening!

Summary

1. We continue on the same path…

We continue in the same vein...

My third trimester started in the same mood as the second:I was in great shape 💪🏽. I always had so much fishing 🍑.

At the start of this third trimester of pregnancy, I wantedto plan everything, oforganize everything(yes, more than normal 😅) and above all goodpreparing for the arrival of the baby. This is called implantation syndrome. For once, it's a syndrome that I've always had because for a very long time, every year in autumn and spring I have urges to tidy up, reorganize etc... So it didn't seem unusual to me to have this obsessed withstorage and planning.

So I was happy to see that I was not going into a spiral of fatigue or stress 😨 as can happen to other women. which allowed me toget ahead of the 1st quarter of 2020. Indeed, I took advantage of this energy to make the most of it (while sparing myself) in order to be more free when the baby will be there. Most of the articles, social media content and some podcast episodes may have beenproduced and programmed in November/December 2019for this 1st quarter of 2020. That was super cool 😎.

At the level ofmy activity as a customer care consultant, of course I continued until my maternity leave at the end of November. I was able to complete projects that were close to my heart and pass the baton to my collaborators for others. I have to tell you that the day my morning leave started was areal relief: I was going to be able to devote myself solely to creating content for 2020.

❗️Warning, if you don't know:an entrepreneur cannot earn money during maternity leave. Must thereforecease all activitywhich brings in income. Indeed, it is social security that at that time pays daily compensation ❗️

Physical difficulties

At the beginning of this last trimester of pregnancy, we went to London for a few days to visit the Harry Potter studios 🧙‍♀️. It did me a world of good to disconnect and enjoy this city that I love so much. However, I was able to note to my great regret thatI was no longer physically fit.

I'm a great walker 🚶🏽‍♀️. I like to walk, to stroll, it is besides the only "sport" that I practice. Even at home I like to go out regularly to walk a little outside. So London, which I already knew from having gone there a dozen times with my previous job, didn't scare me. Yes, but when you're 6/7 months pregnant 🤰🏽, withan increasingly heavy weightto carry in the belly, well that changes the situation 🙃.

After a few hours of walking, I couldn't take it anymore! Pain in the lower abdomen, legs… Horrible! Nothing serious, just muscle and ligament pain, which is completely normal. Not all women are victims of it during their pregnancy, but I got it 🤷🏽 ♀️.

So after having been able to enjoy a bit of London all the same, I limited the walking on my way back, which was not ideal. Indeed, working from home all day, I need to walk to move a little. But it was getting harder and harder. And at the end of the pregnancy, just walking from my bedroom to the kitchen was quite an achievement! Which means that I, who hadn't gained weight since the beginning, well, I gained a little at that time.

But hey, since I went out less, it allowed me to work well. (Still, that didn't stop me from goinginterviewer Safiato Amiens 😁).

The end of pregnancy

From37 weeks pregnant, you can give birth "at any time". We know the date of the term, but extremely rare are the women who give birth on the day of prediction. So for me, from 37 weeksI was living day to day. I was doing what I could 😌 telling myself that my day, my week could be interrupted at any time. This is necessarily what happened, 10 days before the scheduled date.

I had planned to record podcasts that day 😅. I had a medical check-up in the morning, for my pregnancy follow-up, everything was fine, RAS. When I got home I finally had lunch with my mother and my husband, then I continued the day with my mother, in front of Netflix and the last season of The Crown 👑.

It's been a week sinceI felt tired. For the first time in 6 months, yes I was exhausted. A big fatigue for a week during which I of course took the opportunity to sleep. I listened to my body a lot and when I felt the need I slept 😴, night, day, no matter the time.

That day, very strangely, I woke up super early! Before 5am and I couldn't go back to sleep. At noon I hadstarving, so I ate well 😋. And around 4 p.m., without warning, without feeling beforehand: contractions every 5 minutes, then every 4, then 3…My body warned mea week before: my big, you will gain strength! You will sleep and eat!

Childbirth was the timethe most intense of my life, The Strongest. Everything I felt was multiplied immeasurably: pain and happiness. Twoopposite but essential sensationsto each other at that time. Well, I'm not going to tell you about my delivery, that's not the goal here. But I would like to tell you that already pregnancy but especially childbirth allows you tolearn a lot about ourselvesand our capabilities.

  • I learned that I was a really, really patient person. I already knew that, but not to this extent.
  • I didn't expect to be so tough and resistant to pain.
  • Despite this pain, I was still smiling! I even managed to make jokes 😁.
  • No stress, no fear disturbed me. Same, I know I'm a very zen person, but at a time like this I didn't know I was going to stay that way.
  • Organization is vital to my well-being. The maternity staff had I think never seen a new mother's room so well ordered. I really didn't think I would always be putting everything away the days following my delivery.
  • I felt powerful thanks to this childbirth. Extremely powerful.

The consequences of the 3rd trimester of pregnancy on my business

This pregnancy and childbirth will clearly impact my activity and have already done so!

– I want more, to have new projects. I feel fully boosted 🚀 after this experience and I don't feelabsolutely not slowed down, quite the contrary.

- I really haverealized my strengths 💪🏽: patience, positivity, serenity and organization. They will be to mevery usefulto build my empire 🏯

– My weaknesses also jumped out at me: I can’t take it upon myself or put on a good show in front of malicious people. So I already know that at the slightest bad feeling of this kind, I could refuse a client for example.

This life experience is in my opinionformidable, despite the constraints that may be encountered. Besides the fact that we “give life”, we learn even more about ourselves when we already thought we knew ourselves 100%. It helps us realize who we are. When we know who we are, we know where we are going 🛣️.

Finally, here are my tips to better understand this third trimester of pregnancy:

- Use itimplantation syndrometo prepare for the arrival of the baby in your home but also in your mind.

– Make the most of yourmaternity leavebefore giving birth to do what you want!

– If you are fit,get ahead in your businessto have nothing to do during the first 3 months of the baby.

Thirstas soon as you feel the urge: your body is getting ready!

Manyalso when you are hungry: your body needs it!

– Childbirth is going awaylearn a lot about yourself: become aware of all your emotions.
